Constanza Sota Hernández, Founder and CEO“The last mile is not the end of the project, it is the beginning of the relationship,” says Constanza Sota Hernández, Founder and CEO.
That principle shapes every program. Technical excellence is the entry requirement for APCLINIM specialists. Each one must master the equipment and protocols before meeting a client. Most importantly, the company develops their ability to care for users, recognize whether someone feels comfortable, delighted or disappointed and respond accordingly. The goal is to make the handover the point when the investment begins to deliver value.
Learning Inside the Real Environment
APCLINIM structures training for new installations, staff rotation and refresher needs. Its specialists are health professionals with daily field experience, allowing the company to address the divide between academic knowledge and practical skill in both directions.
Professionals coming from an academic path train inside the hospital using installed equipment, actual protocols and patients. Sessions prepare them for situations school may not cover, including interruptions, last-minute changes, documentation and study coordination. Experienced technologists without formal credentials receive structured instruction and certificates recognizing knowledge built through practice.
Each curriculum is developed with the manufacturer or distributor. APCLINIM works with them on training specifications, audits and periodic reviews. It also studies the site’s licenses, needs and specialization so the program fits the project.
Feedback from every assignment strengthens the next curriculum. APCLINIM examines what confused users, generated service calls or delayed sign-off, then uses that information to improve the technical content and user experience.
Solving the Barrier Behind the Equipment
A CT project in the Sierra Sur of Oaxaca showed how this approach works. Many patients spoke Zapotec as their first language, while automated breathing instructions were delivered in Spanish. Misunderstood commands affected image acquisition and led to repeated studies.
The APCLINIM specialist worked with local technologists to record the instructions in Zapotec and integrate them into the workflow. Patients could follow the study, the team could use the scanner as designed and repetitions caused by miscommunication were reduced.

The last mile is not the end of the project, it is the beginning of the relationship.
The same approach supported the deployment and training of 97 patient monitors across hard-to-access communities in 15 days. APCLINIM maintained traceability for every unit and session while its management team supported specialists working in remote and sometimes dangerous locations.
Its specialists have also trained teams in communities where patients previously traveled six hours for an MRI. They also prepared the clinical team that introduced Guatemala’s big-bore CT for radiotherapy planning.
Extending Training Beyond the Handover
Across nearly 600 exit surveys, APCLINIM holds an overall rating of 4.86 out of five. Treatment by specialists scores 4.90, above technical knowledge, and the most common request is for additional training days. Clients continue calling after sessions and refer the company to other sites.
Its two-sided model extends that relationship through Aspasia, a professional community where healthcare specialists develop communication, crisis management, documentation, English and AI-related skills. The community also helps APCLINIM identify and prepare specialists for field assignments, reinforcing the human abilities essential as medical technology advances. APCLINIM understands that in a world where AI is a reality, it will never substitute the human touch.
Those abilities matter most when technology reaches the patient. A CT, MRI or cath lab procedure may be one of the hardest days in someone’s life. APCLINIM therefore trains professionals to operate equipment with technical knowledge, responsibility and awareness of what each patient may be experiencing.
Over ten years, APCLINIM has delivered more than 20,000 training hours on over 3,000 systems across more than 2,000 locations across Mexico, Latin America and Europe, reaching around 15,000 healthcare professionals. That reach translates into clinical teams ready to use new equipment from day one while treating patients with the care the moment demands.
